About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician to support its work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The selected candidate will join the Corrective Maintenance section and support the creation, development, and maintenance of Electronic One Function Diagrams. Accuracy, integrity, subject-matter expertise, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are important for success. The role produces electrical and electronic drawings for Strategic Weapon System (SWS) system-level and subsystem-level equipment using computer-aided design (CAD) software. It involves extracting coordinated signals from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions; applying electrical and electronic theory when designing and authoring circuits; coding diagram wires in varied colors for signal tracing; and creating diagram-to-diagram and dataset-to-dataset hyperlinks used in equipment and interface troubleshooting. The technician collaborates virtually with technical teams to resolve electrical-theory and engineering-drawing-standard issues, and reviews electrical and engineering alterations to determine revisions, deletions, or amendments needed in existing diagrams. The position is available in Rockville, Maryland; Cape Canaveral, Florida; or Kings Bay, Georgia. The selected candidate must reside in one of these locations or be willing to relocate there at their own expense. The role is on-site, requires U.S. citizenship, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Travel is 10%; relocation assistance is not available. The listed full-time salary range is $97,008–$164,914, with individual salary determined by factors including local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.
