About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician to support its work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The selected candidate will join the Corrective Maintenance section and directly support the creation, development, and maintenance of Electronic One Function Diagrams. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are important traits for success. The position produces electrical and electronic drawings of Strategic Weapon System (SWS) equipment at system and subsystem levels using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Work includes extracting coordinated signals by reviewing blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions; applying electrical and electronic theory to design and author circuits; coding diagram wires in varied colors for signal tracing; creating diagram-to-diagram and dataset-to-dataset hyperlinks used to troubleshoot equipment and interfaces; collaborating virtually with technical teams on electrical theory and engineering drawing standards; and reviewing electrical and engineering alterations to determine necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments to existing diagrams. The role is available in Rockville, MD; Cape Canaveral, FL; or King's Bay, GA. The selected candidate must reside in one of these locations or be willing to relocate there at their own expense. The position is on-site, requires 10% travel, and requires U.S. citizenship. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; no clearance is currently required.
