Requirements

  • Proficiency in the development of application integration solutions and API Lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in application administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, database management, and reporting tools.
  • Quick learner with ability to understand complex system interdependencies.
  • Familiarity with support case/ticket management systems.
  • Working knowledge of change management and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work individually or collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Fine attention to detail, time-management, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with job automation and scheduling technologies preferred.
  • Background in the financial services industry preferred.
  • IT-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements to design and deliver secure, scalable, and reusable API and application integration solutions.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and/or SOAP APIs to facilitate data exchange between internal systems and third-party services.
  • Manage full application and API lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, documentation, monitoring, and versioning.
  • Collaborate with other teams, and analysts to ensure seamless integration within application ecosystems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, data privacy standards (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT, HIPAA, GDPR), and governance models.
  • Use automation technologies to build and monitor scheduled jobs to improve business workflows and increase productivity.
  • Utilize database tools such as PL/SQL, SSIS, and SSRS to create data extracts and build custom reports.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for application enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation for all supported systems.
  • Work closely with the Information Security team to implement protective measures for applications.
  • Identify and manage risks within the department.
  • Support application upgrades, migrations, and deployments related to integrated systems.
  • Provide Tier 2 support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to applications.
  • Monitor application performance, identify issues, and implement improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Lead or participate in application-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
  • Work with IT Project Manager to define project scopes, create project plans, and manage timelines.
  • Coordinate with other IT analysts and business professionals.
  • Participate in routine disaster recovery exercises to run applications from a secondary data center location and maintain associated documentation.
