About The Position

The Switchboard Operator supports the hospital by operating the switchboard and handling incoming and outgoing calls. The role answers, screens, and transfers calls, accesses patient information, and uses required scripting for interactions. The operator also monitors alarms and code situations and activates notification systems when directed. The position requires rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend rotation. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months of experience as an operator or in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls efficiently and use digital pages as needed.
• Access patient information and use scripting for all interactions.
• Work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend rotation.
• Monitor alarms and code situations and activate notification systems when directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
