About The Position

Big Blue Swim School is hiring a full-time or part-time Swim Instructor in Paoli to teach children from babies through school age in small groups. Instructors follow a step-by-step, safety-focused curriculum designed by Olympians and receive paid training before teaching their first lesson. No prior teaching experience is required. The role is suited to someone who is comfortable in the water and enjoys working with children. Instructors celebrate swimmers’ progress, communicate it to parents, and help maintain a safe, welcoming pool deck. The indoor pool is heated to 90° and is located at 82 E Lancaster Ave in Paoli. Part-time shifts are on weekday afternoons and evenings until 8 p.m. and weekend mornings, with a set weekly schedule. Part-time instructors must be available for at least two weekday afternoons or one weekend morning. Full-time instructors work 30 or more hours per week, including weekday daytime lessons as well as afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Pay is $14–$18 per hour. Full-time instructors receive medical, dental, and vision coverage and PTO. Instructors also receive free swim lessons for their children and may pursue advancement to Lead and management roles.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old.

Be patient, upbeat, and good with children.
Pass a background check.
