About The Position

Big Blue Swim School is hiring full-time or part-time Swim Instructors to teach children at its indoor pool in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Instructors teach small-group lessons to children ranging from babies to school-age swimmers, following a step-by-step curriculum designed to make lessons fun, effective, and focused on safety. No teaching experience is needed; paid training includes lifeguard and CPR certification, and every instructor completes more than 100 hours of training before teaching a first lesson. Part-time shifts are weekday afternoons and evenings (until 8 p.m.) and weekend mornings, with a set weekly schedule. Part-time instructors must be available for at least two weekday afternoons or one weekend morning. Full-time instructors work 30 or more hours per week, including weekday daytime lessons as well as afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The indoor pool is heated to 90°F and is located at 82 E Lancaster Ave in Paoli. Full-time instructors receive medical, dental, and vision coverage and PTO. Instructors also receive free swim lessons for their children and may pursue Lead and management roles.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old.
Be comfortable in the water.
Be patient, upbeat, and good with children.
Pass a background check.
Part-time instructors must be available for at least two weekday afternoons or one weekend morning.

Nice To Haves
