About The Position

The part-time HVAC Instructor brings practical HVAC experience into classroom and hands-on training environments to prepare students for careers in the trade. The employer provides an established curriculum, paid instructor training, and support; previous teaching experience is not required. The role offers a consistent evening schedule and may suit experienced technicians seeking additional income or a change from field work. The position is based in Brockton, Massachusetts, and is scheduled for 12 hours per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Requirements

At least 3 years of hands-on HVAC industry experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Massachusetts Oil Burner License/Certificate or Refrigeration License, or the willingness and ability to obtain the required credential within 90 days.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and connect with students at different skill levels.
Genuine interest in helping others learn and succeed.

Responsibilities

Teach practical HVAC installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrate proper use of HVAC tools and equipment, as well as diagnostic procedures.
Share real-world jobsite experiences, safety practices, and industry knowledge.
Guide students through hands-on training exercises.
Help students prepare for industry certifications and future employment.
Encourage and mentor students as they develop their technical skills.
Work with the education team to support student success.
