Swim Instructor Paid Training Included
About The Position
The Swim Instructor instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques using thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Goldfish Swim School is a learn-to-swim facility for children ages 4 months to 12 years, with a confidence-building curriculum that promotes a love of swimming and helps children be safer in and around the water. The role also involves front-desk customer service, including answering phones, making sales, and responding to customer questions. Training is provided on site, and no formal swim experience is required. The school’s mission is to teach children to swim and be safer in and around the water while making their experience “GOLDEN.” Employees work in a 90-degree pool and tropical environment. Schedules are set and may be adjusted quarterly to accommodate class schedules. Available schedules include full-time work of 30 or more hours (up to 40), part-time work of 20–30 hours with benefits, and part-time work.
Requirements
- Ability to work with children; no formal swim experience is required because full training is provided.
- Ability to answer phones, make sales, and answer customer questions.
- Willingness to work in the water for 3–4 hours on some shifts.
- Availability to work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday, a 4-hour shift) and some evenings until 8:30.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Must be age 15 or older.
