About The Position

Fortis College in North Houston, Texas, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC/R Technician to teach in its HVAC Program. The position is part-time and reports directly to the Dean of Education. The typical teaching load is two courses per term, with one or two course preparations. The instructor will also provide academic advising to students and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation. Fortis provides educational programs focused on real-life career skills in high-demand occupations.

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required.
• Current Texas Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.
• EPA Universal certification.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.

Nice To Haves

• Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience.
