EPA Certified HVAC Instructor - Part Time
About The Position
Fortis College in Westerville (Columbus), Ohio, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated EPA Certified HVAC/R Technician to teach in its HVAC program. The part-time professional position focuses primarily on teaching HVAC/R courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two course preparations. The instructor also provides academic advising to students and participates in department training, meetings, and graduation. Fortis College offers educational programs intended to develop real-life career skills for high-demand occupations and support students’ employment and professional growth.
Requirements
- Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma.
- EPA Universal certification.
- At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree is preferred.
- NCCER certification is desired but not required.
- HVAC Excellence certification is desired but not required.
- Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience is preferred.
