About The Position

Porter and Chester Institute is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to teach hands-on HVAC skills in classroom and lab settings. The instructor will use real equipment and scenarios to share jobsite knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices, and will mentor students at different skill levels as they prepare for licensing, certification, and HVAC careers. The institute provides curriculum, instructor training, and support; lesson plans do not need to be created from scratch, and prior teaching experience or an education degree is not required. The role includes paid training and ongoing professional development and involves working independently with support from an experienced education team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Oil Burner License or Refrigeration License, or willingness to obtain one within 90 days.
• At least 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage the workday.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

Nice To Haves

• EPA Universal Certification.
