About The Position

Instructors deliver educational materials using sound educational practices focused on students’ academic development. They use instruction to develop students’ knowledge and skills in their chosen field and help them achieve educational and career goals. Instructors create an engaging, dynamic, student-centered learning environment and provide support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed. They model professional behavior and ethical conduct aligned with Ancora Education’s mission and core values.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience within the last 10 years.
• Where required, hold active certification or licensure.
• Before beginning to teach, have documented prior teaching experience or complete the new instructor training.
• Ability to qualify as an instructor under institutional and accreditation standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching in a proprietary education setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab instruction, assess students, and manage the classroom to provide an engaging educational experience.
• Ensure students receive the material needed to meet the learning objectives of each course in their program of study.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment for student use, maintain sufficient quantities, and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Participate in faculty assessment and professional development activities; maintain required certification and licensure.
• Participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and regulatory guidelines, as well as company policies.
• Provide student support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed, and model professional and ethical behavior.
