About The Position

The HVAC Instructor teaches assigned classes under the supervision of the Program Director and Director of Education. The role supports students in mastering course content, evaluates learning outcomes, maintains current knowledge in the HVAC field, and participates in professional development. It also includes curriculum and articulation work, institutional service and faculty governance, administrative duties, and other responsibilities assigned by the Program Director, Director of Education, or Campus Director. The instructor is expected to communicate effectively, use current technology, uphold professional and ethical standards, and contribute to resolving complex personnel issues.

Requirements

• Three years of documented work experience in the HVAC field.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes under the supervision of the Program Director and Director of Education.
• Help students fulfill their potential in mastering course content.
• Continuously assess and evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge in the regular teaching field.
• Participate in continuing professional development.
• Use current technology in performing job duties.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Assist with articulation and curriculum development and review.
• Serve on institutional committees and participate in faculty governance, accreditation, and student co-curricular activities.
• Assume responsibilities assigned by the Program Director, Director of Education, and Campus Director.
• Fulfill faculty duties and responsibilities outlined in the institution's faculty handbook.
• Resolve complex personnel issues involving interpretation and application of policies and procedures, managerial analysis, and decision-making.
• Communicate verbally and in writing, make group presentations, interact diplomatically, mediate personnel conflicts, and negotiate and exchange ideas to reach decisions and solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
