Swim Instructor (part-time)
About The Position
HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking a Swim Instructor to join its Aquatics Team at a community client site in West Hartford, Connecticut. This part-time position offers 10–15 hours per week in a supportive, team-oriented environment, working with swimmers of different ages and abilities. The role provides an opportunity to help participants build confidence, develop swimming skills, and learn water safety. The Swim Instructor provides effective and safe instruction to adults and children taking private or small-group lessons. Instructors design individualized programs based on each participant’s interests, abilities, and goals. Compensation is $16–$17.75 per hour; the final offer depends on factors including location, qualifications, experience, and skill set.
Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Adult and Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute is required before the start date.
- Must have a strong swimming background.
- Must be proficient in all swim strokes.
- Must meet hiring requirements, including a pre-employment drug test.
