Part-Time Swim Instructor - Tanasbourne
About The Position
Emler Swim and Gymnastic Schools is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor at its Tanasbourne location. Instructors teach children from 6 months to 12 years old, helping them develop swimming and water-safety skills in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. The role includes paid hands-on training with an experienced mentor and opportunities to build communication, leadership, and time-management skills. This is an active role that involves being on your feet and in the pool. Shifts are set and include evenings and weekends, with opportunities to pick up additional hours. The listed pay range is $18.00–$22.50 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and certifications. Entry-level team members start at the beginning of the range, with opportunities for increases as they develop.
Requirements
- Love working with children and bring positive energy.
- Be reliable, safety-minded, and professional, with strong communication skills.
- Be able to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
- Be comfortable in the water and active on your feet.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching or swim experience; this is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Train with an experienced mentor to learn the company's swim-instruction methods.
- Teach weekly lessons and encourage students as they reach milestones.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students and parents.
- Prioritize safety for everyone in and around the pool.
- Teach classes for children ages 6 months to 12 years.
