Part-Time Swim Instructor - Plano
About The Position
Emler Swim and Gymnastic Schools is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor in Plano to teach children from 6 months to 12 years old. Instructors teach water-safety skills and swimming in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment, while building positive relationships with students and parents. The role includes paid, hands-on training with an experienced mentor and opportunities to develop communication, leadership, and time-management skills. This active position involves being on your feet and in the pool. Shifts are set and include evenings and weekends, with opportunities to pick up additional hours. Pay is $14.00–$17.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and certifications. Entry-level team members start at the beginning of the range, with opportunities for increases as they develop.
Requirements
- Must enjoy working with children and bring positive energy.
- Must be reliable, safety-minded, and professional, with strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
- Must be comfortable in the water and active on their feet.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching or swim experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Train with an experienced mentor to learn the company’s swim instruction methods.
- Teach weekly swim lessons and celebrate student milestones.
