About The Position
People Creating Success is seeking a Supported Living Coordinator for adults with developmental disabilities in the Santa Maria region. The role focuses on leading and supporting staff, ensuring compliant programs and high-quality services, building relationships with participants and their families, and helping participants pursue daily living and community-integration goals. The coordinator partners with leadership to develop person-centered solutions and strategies that support staff motivation and retention. People Creating Success has provided services to adults with developmental disabilities in California for over 20 years. Its mission is to help individuals pursue career, educational, and life goals.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in human services.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong relationship-building and maintenance, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with dignity and respect, especially during challenging moments.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and leading teams toward success.
- A warm, respectful, and professional demeanor.
- Strong de-escalation and redirection skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with participants with developmental disabilities.
- A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
- CPR / First Aid certification; training will be provided if applicants are not certified or need recertification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of compliance in developmental disability services.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support quality assurance staff, program managers, and direct support professionals.
- Manage program compliance and the delivery of high-quality services.
- Build meaningful relationships with participants, their families, staff, and community partners.
- Engage with teams as a positive presence and help boost morale.
- Develop and implement recognition and retention strategies to motivate professionals.
- Partner with leadership to collaborate on and implement person-centered solutions.
- Support participants with daily living skills, including cleaning, cooking, budget management, and light household duties.
