About The Position

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is hiring seasonal Support Crew to support theater guests with food and beverage service. The role focuses on providing excellent hospitality while upholding safety standards so guests can enjoy a safe, clean, distraction-free, and enjoyable environment. Support Crew members deliver orders to the correct seats, assist guests, maintain cleanliness, and help keep venue operations running efficiently. This is a tip-shared role; the described tip allocation varies by venue.

Requirements

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, at least three days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• Ability to move cautiously and work collaboratively in a loud, sometimes dark, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, duck, crouch, walk up and down stairs, carry multiple plates or trays, and deliver food while limiting disruptions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at one time and repeatedly during the shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina and coordination in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in hospitality or guest services.
• Prior food and beverage safety or handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety standards.
• Conduct food quality checks and deliver food and beverage orders to the correct seats using theater floor maps.
• Know the menu and common allergens, and take appropriate safety precautions.
• Serve alcohol safely, including checking IDs when delivering drinks and monitoring guest consumption in accordance with local and state regulations.
• Check guest tickets to ensure guests are in the correct seats.
• Maintain a cheerful and courteous disposition and communicate efficiently with guests, teammates, Production staff, Greeters, and Managers.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor notifications for guest requests.
• Support guests while limiting disruptions to the theater experience.
• Clean theaters, lobbies, and restrooms; perform assigned opening and closing duties and maintain cleanliness in high-touch areas.
• Help identify guest issues and report them to management.
• Anticipate and maintain appropriate supply levels, complete preparation and side work, and assist with operational tasks as needed.
• Complete tasks efficiently and with urgency.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
• Know and follow Alamo policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Stay current on local food and beverage compliance regulations, safety courses, and assigned online training.
