About The Position

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is hiring seasonal Support Crew members, called Alamo Runners, to support theater guests through food and beverage service. The role focuses on providing excellent hospitality while maintaining safety and cleanliness so guests can enjoy a safe, clean, distraction-free experience. Support Crew members deliver orders to the correct seats, respond to guest needs, and assist with theater operations. This is a tip-shared role; the specific tip-pooling arrangement varies by venue and location.

Requirements

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, at least three days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cautiously in a loud, sometimes dark, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, duck, crouch, walk up and down stairs, carry multiple plates or trays, and deliver food while limiting disruptions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at one time and repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina and coordination in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior hospitality or guest-services experience.
• Prior food and beverage safety or handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety standards.
• Check food quality and deliver food and beverage orders to the correct seats using theater floor maps.
• Know the Alamo menu and common allergens, and take appropriate safety precautions.
• Serve alcohol safely, including checking IDs during drink delivery and monitoring guest consumption in accordance with local and state regulations.
• Check guest tickets to confirm they are seated correctly.
• Maintain a cheerful and courteous manner with guests and teammates; communicate efficiently with Production staff, Greeters, Managers, and guests.
• Anticipate guest needs, monitor notifications for requests, and support guests while minimizing disruptions.
• Clean theaters, lobbies, and restrooms, and perform assigned opening and closing duties to maintain cleanliness in high-touch areas.
• Help identify guest issues and report them to management.
• Maintain appropriate supply levels, complete prep and side work, and assist with operational tasks as needed.
• Complete tasks efficiently and with urgency, and demonstrate strong teamwork.
• Know and follow Alamo policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Keep current with local food and beverage compliance regulations, safety courses, and assigned online training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
