About The Position

Serve as a supervisor directing a team of IT specialists. You will manage network infrastructure operations, oversee classified and unclassified networks, and ensure dependable communication systems.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
  • Must be able to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must pass a pre-employment screening and random drug testing.
  • Must be able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special situations.
  • Must be able to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • Must obtain appropriate IT certifications within six (6) months of assignment.
  • Must complete a one-year probationary period.
  • Must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
  • Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service, including: Providing technical oversight for IT network operations, including servers, databases, and software applications; Advising leadership on network infrastructure improvements and the integration of new technologies; AND Planning and directing the work of an IT technical staff to accomplish project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight for the operation of classified and unclassified networks, servers, and databases.
  • Advise leadership on state-of-the-art technology and provide consultation on the integration of new applications.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and business rules for the branch.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and evaluate their overall performance.
  • Represent the branch at technical workshops and mission support meetings to disseminate information.
