About The Position

The Supervisor of Security is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and threat-free environment at French Hospital Medical Center. The role assists in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive security program and manages and directs Security personnel on assigned shifts. The supervisor ensures personnel carry out duties that support the safety and security of patients, visitors, hospital staff, and physicians. The role also assists with designing, developing, and coordinating Security staff activities; developing and implementing the Security Management Plan; coordinating responses to critical incidents; reviewing and addressing actual and potential security breaches; and implementing security awareness programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience as a security officer involving extensive contact, or law enforcement or military security experience.
• Experience in a leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct Security personnel on assigned shifts.
• Ensure security personnel perform their assigned duties to protect the safety and security of patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Assist with designing, developing, and coordinating Security staff activities to protect patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
• Assist with developing and implementing the Security Management Plan.
• Assist with managing and coordinating responses to critical incidents.
• Review and address identified actual and potential security breaches.
• Help implement security awareness programs.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining a comprehensive security program.
