About The Position

The Security Supervisor leads a security team, supports daily operations, and helps ensure a safe environment for everyone onsite at Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, Indiana. The role supervises security staff, performs Security Officer duties when needed, and implements and enforces security procedures. The supervisor also responds to emergencies, coordinates with authorities, trains Security Officers and Shift Leads, communicates with operations management, conducts inspections, manages staff sign-in and sign-out, and assists with payroll and personnel management.

The ideal candidate is a strong, motivating leader who communicates clearly, remains composed under stress, understands security operations and technology, and is organized, proactive, and solution-focused. The role requires the ability to lift 25 pounds and work flexible hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 2 years of security experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Valid State Guard License.
• Strong knowledge of security operations.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and work flexible hours.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with composure.
• Understanding of security operations and technology.
• Organized, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
• Ability to coach and develop teams.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
