About The Position

The Residential Supervisor is responsible for functions related to residential living, including dormitory management in compliance with government and management directives. The role is at MTC’s Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon, which provides services to local youth.

The position is full-time, with 8-hour shifts on one of two schedules: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; or Sunday through Thursday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM. The stated wage is $45,760 annually.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with youth, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and quickly run up and down multiple flights of stairs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Group Life Manager with preparing the departmental budget and monitor and control expenditures.
• Establish, implement, and supervise control procedures to maximize student living standards and coordinate student participation.
• Inspect dormitory areas for cleanliness and unauthorized materials, and ensure facility maintenance is completed when needed.
• Ensure incidents of misconduct are reported promptly and accurately.
