The Utica City School District is seeking qualified candidates for a Youth Sports Summer Program. This program is more than just play; it’s a strategic investment in student wellness, safety, equity, and achievement. The program will not only keep youth active and safe during the summer but will also support the urban school district's broader mission to educate the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. It addresses students' health, safety, engagement, and opportunity gaps by promoting health and fitness through varied sports options, offering a safe and structured summer alternative, building critical life skills and character, encouraging academic and career exploration, increasing equity and opportunity, and strengthening community and ties. The program will feature Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball, Swimming, Track & Field, Lacrosse, Tennis, Cheerleading, Wrestling, Golf, Cross Country, Soccer, and Volleyball. It is for Utica City School District students in grades 4-12 and will run during July and August 2026 with daytime hours to be determined.
