About The Position
Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, Maine's largest Nordic center, is located downhill from the Alpine resort and features a modern ski lodge, groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoe trails, and an NHL-sized ice skating rink. The resort is hiring team members for retail, ticket sales, and equipment rental and repair departments for the winter season. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Starting wage is anticipated to be $16.50 per hour, depending on experience. Roles include resort perks and discounts.
Requirements
- Have a positive and outgoing attitude.
- Be able to work effectively with the team.
- Be attentive to detail and accuracy.
- Be accurate when handling money and using a register.
- Be self-motivated.
Nice To Haves
- Experience Nordic skiing.
- Experience with the Outdoor Center trail systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, current information about merchandise for all brands carried.
- Clean and organize the sales area daily to maintain its appearance.
- Use tools and training provided by Sugarloaf Resort to build long-term customer relationships and increase sales.
- Develop knowledge of the Outdoor Center property and surrounding area to answer questions about local activities.
- Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude.
- Work independently and multitask while promptly greeting guests and maintaining a warm atmosphere.
- Apply the same service standards to phone calls and questions.
