About The Position

Kokua Education is hiring substitute teachers in Garden Acres and the surrounding Fort Worth area for the 2026–27 school year. Substitute teachers work in K–12 schools, covering classroom assignments and serving as positive role models who support students’ learning and confidence. Teachers can set their own schedules and work up to five days per week in assignments they choose. The role may also involve lunch and recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season. Daily positions pay $151 per day, while long-term positions pay $167 per day, with weekly pay via W-2. Requirements

At least one year of experience working with children in any setting, such as a classroom, tutoring, or coaching.
At least 48 completed college credit hours.
Confidence managing a classroom of students.
Willingness to take on support duties where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and testing proctoring.
Pass state and federal background checks; costs are reimbursed after 10 assignments.
