About The Position

Cadence Education is hiring a Richmond Regional Substitute Teacher to support its early childhood education programs. The substitute creates a safe, engaging learning environment and works with educators to deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum. The role includes documenting and sharing children’s daily milestones with parents, collaborating with teachers and leaders, observing children’s interests and supporting their play, encouraging positive social skills and behaviors, and helping plan a varied daily schedule with quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor experiences. The position may require travel between multiple locations during the workday; eligible travel time and business mileage are compensated according to company policy. Scheduling complies with applicable wage and hour laws.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
• Flexible and available to jump in during business hours.

• Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.

Responsibilities

• Support Cadence Education’s philosophy and work with educators to deliver an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
