About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking an energetic, creative substitute preschool teacher to help create a safe, engaging learning environment for children at its Loudoun-area schools. The role supports the company’s research-based curriculum and early childhood education philosophy, works collaboratively with educators and leaders, and may involve travel between multiple locations during the workday. Eligible travel time and business mileage are compensated in accordance with company policy. The position is based in Leesburg, Virginia, and is identified as onsite.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
• Be flexible and available to step in during business hours.

• Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.

Responsibilities

• Support Cadence Education’s philosophy and collaborate with educators to deliver a fun, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and leaders to create engaging learning experiences.
• Observe children’s interests, maintain a safe environment, and enrich play with language, toys, and activities.
• Encourage children’s social skills and positive behaviors.
• Help plan a varied daily schedule that includes quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor experiences.
