About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking an energetic, creative substitute preschool teacher to create a safe, engaging learning environment for children. The teacher will support the company’s educational philosophy and curriculum, work with educators and leaders, observe children’s interests and development, and help provide varied daily activities. The role is based in Lansdowne, Virginia, and may involve working at multiple locations during business hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
• Be flexible and available to step in during business hours.

• Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.

Responsibilities

• Support Cadence Education’s philosophy and collaborate with educators to deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents.
• Collaborate with teachers and leaders to create engaging experiences for children.
• Observe children’s interests, maintain a safe environment, and enrich play with language, toys, and activities.
• Encourage children’s social skills and positive behavior.
• Help plan a varied daily schedule that includes quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine and gross motor experiences.
