Loudoun Regional Substitute Teacher
About The Position
Cadence Education is seeking an energetic and creative substitute preschool teacher to support its schools in the Loudoun region. The role involves creating a safe, engaging learning environment and working with educators to deliver a fun, developmentally appropriate curriculum. The substitute observes children's interests, supports their play and social development, documents daily milestones for parents, and helps plan varied activities and schedules. The role may involve working at multiple locations during business hours; eligible travel time and business mileage are compensated in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
- Be flexible and available to step in during business hours.

- Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.
Responsibilities
- Embrace Cadence Education’s philosophy and collaborate with educators to deliver a fun, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leaders to create engaging experiences for children.
- Observe children’s interests, maintain a safe environment, and enrich their play through language, toys, and activities.
- Encourage children’s social skills and positive behaviors.
- Help plan a varied daily schedule, including quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor experiences.
