About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking an energetic, creative substitute preschool teacher who is passionate about children and early childhood education. The role involves stepping in to create a safe, engaging learning environment and working with educators to support children’s development through the company’s curriculum. The position may require work at multiple locations, with eligible travel time and business mileage compensated in accordance with company policy. The listed hourly range is $16.66–$19.66, with travel pay to sister schools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
• Be flexible and available to step in during business hours.

• Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.

Responsibilities

• Work with educators to deliver Cadence Education’s curriculum and philosophy.
• Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and leaders to create engaging experiences for children.
• Observe children’s interests, maintain a safe environment, and extend play through language, toys, and activities.
• Encourage children’s social skills and positive behaviors.
• Help plan a varied daily schedule including quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor activities.
