About The Position

Kokua Education is hiring part-time substitute teachers for K-12 schools in the Fort Worth, Texas area for the 2026–27 school year. Substitute teachers create positive classroom experiences, encourage students’ love of learning, and serve as role models in their communities. Teachers can set their own schedule and work up to five days per week in assignments that interest them, with opportunities to pursue permanent roles at high-performing schools. Kokua provides support daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Daily positions pay $151 per day and long-term positions pay $167 per day, with weekly pay through W-2 employment. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working with children in any setting, such as a classroom, tutoring, or coaching.
At least 48 college credit hours completed.
Confidence managing a classroom of students.
Willingness to perform other school duties as needed, including lunch or recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and test proctoring.
Pass state and federal background checks; the costs are reimbursed after 10 assignments.
Belief that every child has a unique and powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities
