Assignments may also include lunch and recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and test proctoring. Kokua offers daily support from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and describes the role as a potential path to permanent positions at high-performing schools. Pay is up to $142 per day, paid weekly. Candidates with an associate degree or at least 48 college credit hours earn $120 per day for daily assignments and $135 per day for long-term assignments. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher earn $126 per day for daily assignments and $142 per day for long-term assignments. Employment is paid via W-2. The company is accepting applications for the 2026–27 school year, and applicants can begin the interview process immediately. Kokua says it aims to provide an offer within one week of applying. Background-check costs are reimbursed after 10 assignments.
