About The Position

Flagstaff Unified School District No. 1 is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Success Coordinator/Coach at Coconino High School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time role supports students’ academic and personal growth. The coordinator/coach works collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents to foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and achievement. Offers of employment are contingent upon funding. All employees are subject to a criminal background check.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with high school students in an educational or mentoring capacity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their goals.
• Knowledge of academic resources and support services available to students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for events and workshops.

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one coaching and support to help students set and achieve academic and personal goals.
• Develop individualized success plans, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify students who may benefit from additional support and resources.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, group sessions, and events focused on study skills, time management, and personal development.
• Act as a liaison between students, families, and school personnel to support effective communication.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
• Assist in developing programs and initiatives that promote student engagement and success.
• Stay informed about best practices in student support and success coaching through professional development opportunities.
