About The Position

The School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for the Social Psychology course (PSY2110, Section E00) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers topics such as social perception, attitudes, prejudice, interpersonal attraction, social influence, aggression, groups, and leadership, along with current research in social psychology. The course is offered in person and will be taught in English.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Social Psychology)
  • Competence in a second language (Passive)
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training (as may be modified by provincial law).

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Social Psychology (PSY2110, Section E00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
  • Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in advance of any known absence.
