About The Position
The School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY2110 G00 - Social Psychology during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers social perception, attitudes, prejudice, interpersonal attraction, social influence, aggression, groups, and leadership, along with current research in social psychology. The course is offered in person and has an expected enrollment of 156 students. The position is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Social Psychology)
- Competence in a second language (passive)
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (priority given).

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach Social Psychology (PSY2110 G00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
- Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
