About The Position

The University of Ottawa, Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Social Psychology (PSY2110, Section F00) for the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers topics such as social perception, attitudes, prejudice, interpersonal attraction, social influence, aggression, groups, and leadership, along with current research in social psychology. The course is offered in person and is scheduled for Wednesdays from 16:00 to 17:30 and Fridays from 14:30 to 16:00. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Social Psychology)
  • Competence in second language: Passive
  • Ability to maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Ability to inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Ability to arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
