About The Position
The School of Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1102 Section F00) for the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers heredity, environment, and human development, intelligence, personality, mental health, abnormal behavior and therapeutic approaches, and social psychology. The course is offered in English and is scheduled to be delivered in person.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Comprehensive knowledge of the different fields of Psychology
- Competence in a second language (passive)
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
Nice To Haves
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1102 Section F00).
- Maintain the assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be canceled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in advance of any planned absence.
