About The Position
The School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1102, Section E00) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers heredity, environment, and human development, intelligence, personality, mental health, abnormal behavior and therapeutic approaches, and social psychology. The course is offered in person and is scheduled for Mondays from 16:00 to 17:30 and Wednesdays from 14:30 to 16:00. The expected enrollment is 350 students, and the course is 3 credits. The position is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Comprehensive knowledge of the different fields of Psychology
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1102, Section E00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
- Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person) without modification unless prior approval is obtained from the Vice-Dean of Governance.
- Promptly inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be canceled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
