The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Modern Political Thought II (POL3102, Section E00) during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course explores the origins and development of later modern political thought from the 19th century onwards, covering topics such as socialism, liberalism, Marxism, decolonialism, feminism, postmodernism, and Indigenous perspectives. It is recommended that students have prior knowledge from POL 2107 and POL 2108. The course will be delivered online in a scheduled, synchronous format with live instruction. The University provides training for online course delivery, and the teaching method may be adjusted due to public health measures or other reasons.
