About The Position
The School of Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY3108 Perception during the Winter 2027 semester. This course explores the problem of perception, its nature, principles, and psychological, physiological, and philosophical aspects. It includes laboratory activities and covers current research in the field. The course is offered in-person and requires competence in English as the language of instruction, with passive competence in a second language.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology with a thesis in Perception or Cognition.
- Competence in English (language of instruction).
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach the Perception course (PSY3108, Section E00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
- Conduct laboratory activities as part of the course.
- Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an upcoming absence.
