About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY3377: Cognition, an introduction to contemporary cognitive psychology. The course covers the origin of cognitive and symbolic processes, historic foundations, knowledge acquisition, analysis of cognitive strategies, and current research in cognition. It includes laboratory activities and is offered in person. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements. Requirements

Ph.D. in Psychology with a thesis in Cognition.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Responsibilities

Teach PSY3377: Cognition, including laboratory activities.
Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual).
Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
