About The Position
This course, PSY3377 Cognition, is an introduction to contemporary cognitive psychology, exploring the origin of cognitive and symbolic processes, historic foundations, acquisition of various kinds of knowledge, and analysis of cognitive strategies. The course includes laboratory activities and covers current research in cognition. It is offered in person and is a 3-credit course.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology with a thesis in Cognition.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
- Competence in second language: Passive.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
