About The Position
The School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1502, Section E00) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers heredity, environment, and human development, intelligence, personality, mental health, abnormal behavior and therapeutic approaches, and social psychology. The course is proposed to be delivered in-person on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 17:30 and Thursdays from 14:30 to 16:00. Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Comprehensive knowledge of the different fields of Psychology
- Competence in second language: Passive
Responsibilities
- Teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1502, Section E00).
- Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if an absence is known in advance.
