About The Position

This course, Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1502 Section D00), will be offered during the Winter 2027 semester at the Main Campus. It is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences, within the School of Psychology. The course covers heredity, environment, and human development, intelligence, personality, mental health, abnormal behavior and therapeutic approaches, and social psychology. The course is proposed to be delivered in person. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The listed rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the different fields of Psychology

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual) and may not modify it without prior approval from the Vice-Dean of Governance.
  • Promptly inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class cancellation is required.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
