About The Position

The School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY3105 D00, The Psychology of Adolescence, during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on the physical, emotional, social, moral, and intellectual development of adolescents, including issues related to personal, social, and sexual maturity, and current research in the field. The course is offered in person and is scheduled for Mondays from 11:30 to 13:00 and Thursdays from 13:00 to 14:30. The expected enrollment is 147 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.
  • Competence in second language: Passive

Responsibilities

  • Teach The Psychology of Adolescence (PSY3105 D00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
  • Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in advance of any known absence.
