About The Position
This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach PSY3171: Psychopathology during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology. The course provides an introduction to the study of psychological disorders, covering their causes, assessment, and treatment, integrating biological, psychological, and social perspectives, and discussing current research in psychopathology. The course is scheduled for Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00 and will be delivered in person.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology.
- Competence in a second language (passive).
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
- Ability to maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).

- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach PSY3171: Psychopathology.
- Integrate biological, psychological, and social perspectives in teaching.
- Discuss current research in psychopathology.
- Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
