About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor for the course POL4350 - Honours Seminar in Comparative Politics, offered during the 2027 Winter Semester in the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies. The course focuses on the advanced synthesis and critique of the main debates and analytical approaches in comparative politics. The course is intended for PhD students and will be taught in English. The teaching method may be modified due to public health measures or other reasons. Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Ph.D. coursework in the field of comparative politics.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the topic of this course (via letter of intent, which is not mandatory but will be considered).
  • If never taught at the University of Ottawa, submit information describing previous training or experience with teaching (as per article 10.9.2).
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.
  • Canadian or permanent resident status (priority given).

Responsibilities
