About The Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for the course POL3102 - Modern Political Thought II during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course explores the origins and development of later modern political thought from the 19th century onwards, covering topics such as socialism, liberalism, Marxism, decolonialism, feminism, postmodernism, and Indigenous perspectives. It is recommended that students have prior knowledge from POL 2107 and POL 2108. The course is intended for PhD students and will be offered in person, though the teaching method may be adjusted due to public health measures or other reasons. Requirements

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the course topic (a letter of intent is not mandatory but will be considered).
