About The Position
The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for the Social Psychology course (PSY2110, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. This course covers topics such as social perception, attitudes, prejudice, interpersonal attraction, social influence, aggression, groups, and leadership. The course is offered in person and will be taught in English.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Social Psychology)
- Competence in a second language (Passive)
Nice To Haves
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach Social Psychology (PSY2110, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in advance of any planned absence.
